2004 Osprey Platform Videos

On July 31, 2004, three short video clips of the ospreys were taken from the Wildlife Drive at Blackwater Refuge.

Each clip is a MPEG movie. Right-click on the link and choose "Save Target As" or "Save Link As" to download the clip (for Mac users click and drag to select "Save" option). After downloading is complete, double-click the file to play.

1. Fledgling Flight (5.6MB): One fledgling takes a flight and returns to the nest.



2. Mom and Fledglings (4.5MB): The young wait and watch as the mother osprey returns from an unsuccessful fishing trip.



3. Intruder (4.6MB): An unwelcome osprey tries to land on the nest. The mother osprey discourages the visitor, while one of the fledglings imitates her.
