We invite all our cam watchers
to participate in our 2008 Eaglet-Naming Competition.
Participation is free.
Participants whose eaglet names are chosen as the winners will receive a certificate and prize
from the Friends of Blackwater's Eagle's Nest Gift Shop.
Our partner site WildCam.com will be hosting the contest, as it has done in previous years. Visit the contest page on their
website to enter your names (two names per email address). You have to register
at WildCam.com to enter the contest, but they will not share your email address with anyone. (We only ask for email
addresses so that we can notify winners.) If you've registered with their site in previous contests, just use that information
again to enter. If you're new to the contest, go to their registration
page and sign up, then return to the contest entry page
or visit the WildCam home page and follow the contest link
from there.
The closing date for the contest is April 26, 2008, midnight EDT. If two or more people submit the same name,
the person who first submitted it will be allocated that name. So before entering,
you might want to check on the WildCam entry page for the eaglet names already submitted.
We do not know what gender the chicks are, so we prefer unisex names, but it's all right to enter gender-based names if you prefer.
