Distinguished Speaker Series: Make Your Yard a Wildlife Refuge
Join us for an evening of hope. Join us for an evening learning how you can make an absolute difference for the future of our planet, which will be inherited by our children, grandchildren, and generations yet to come. Speaker Reenie Rice is a Naturopathic Doctor, with a specialty in herbalism, which follows her lifelong passion for all things plants. A dedicated gardener and environmentalist since childhood, she has melded the fields of ecology and gardening to provide a workable blueprint for how we all can "help Mother Earth." This is also the backbone of her blog, "Not Your Granny's Garden" which is available free on Substack.
The focus of the discussion will be how to create your own wildlife refuge right in your own yard. Specific needs of birds, pollinators, and neighbors will be addressed. Questions will be enjoyed after the talk. This event will be held at the Intergenerational Center at 108 Chesapeake Street in Cambridge, Maryland on April 11, 2026.
