Grab your fishing rod and your favorite frog for a great day of fun at Blackwater NWR! Learn the tricks of catching fish, casting,
and tying knots. Fishing poles and bait provided or bring your own. Free hot dog, soda, chips, and bag of gifts for each contestant.
Fishing prizes in three age groups (11 - 15 years old, 6 - 10 years old, and 5 and under). Bring your own frog to enter the Annual Frog
Jumping contest. Casting lessons and assistance with learning how to fish. Educational exhibits and demonstrations.
Fishing located
at Blackwater's Hog Range Pond - Go west on Route 16 to Church Creek, turn left onto Route 335, go approximately 5 miles, turn into the
first drive on the right past Key Wallace Drive, go past the large old house on the right to the pond in the next field on the right.
