Why do the Friends of Blackwater use PayPal?
The Friends of Blackwater use PayPal for its payment processing because
PayPal is an eBay company and a global provider of online payment services
with 78 million account members worldwide.
PayPal uses powerful encryption methods to help protect your sensitive data
and to help ensure your transactions are secure.
What are my payment options?
PayPal will accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, bank transfers,
and
PayPal balance (meaning you have a PayPal account with funds available for making
a purchase).
If you do not have a PayPal account, you will be offered the option of creating one
during the
checkout process; however, you are not required to open an account to make a purchase
using
PayPal.
Is my donation tax-exempt and can I get a tax receipt?
The Friends of Blackwater is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization, so your contributions
are tax-deductible to the amount allowed by law. After you donate,
we will foward a tax receipt that meets the IRS requirements as a record of donation.
If I live outside of the United States, can I still make a donation?
Yes, the PayPal website will take the following currencies: Canadian Dollar,
Pound Sterling, Euro, Yen, and Australian Dollar. PayPal will convert the currency
to U.S. Dollars when it processes your payment.
What information does the Friends' website collect and what happens to it?
The Friends of Blackwater will not see your credit card information after you make a donation --
that information is secure with PayPal. You can read PayPal's privacy policy on their website.
